BITcom Xpublish

• About: BITcom Xpublish is your one-click web publishing tool for news tickers, personal blogs, press releases and much more. Support for unlimited supported sites, entries, external templates, inline variables, images, files and much more.
  
  
• Add Site: Open BITcom Xpublish, click in menu or toolbar on Add Site and enter values for the site. If you used BITcom Xblog already, simply click on the Import Xblog button.
  • Name: Enter a name for the site, like Daniel's Blog or something similar
  • Template: Choose one of included templates or let blank to use default of Xpublish
  • Sorting: Select desired sorting for entries
  • Images Path: Your local path to your images folder for this site, let blank if not used
  • Files Path: Your local path to your files folder for this site, let blank if not used
  • Images Subpath: Subpath on the target server system for images, let blank if same folder like html files
  • Files Subpath: Subpath on the target server system for files, let blank if same folder like html files
  • HTML Filename: Name of the site html file, like blog.html or news.html
  • FTP Server: Enter values for ftp server and full path name on target server like c:/inetpub/mysite.com/htdocs/
  • Mounted: Enter full path name to mounted filesystem, like /Volumes/Users/daniel/Sites/
  
  
• Add Entry: Simply click on the menu or toolbar on Add Entry, enter date, time, description and additional text in the text box for the entry variable names. To save changes in the text box, simply press enter.
  
  
• Add Medias: Open media drawer and double click on image or file to include for a selected entry. To add text styles simply mark text and choose style.
  
  
• Publish Site: Click in toolbar or menu on Publish Site and confirm this action. After all necessary files will be uploaded to ftp server or mounted filesystem.
  
  
• Variables: To add variables to a template simply add placeholders like %xpublish-variable-name% where name is the displayed name of the used variable.
  
  
• Placeholders: Following placeholders can be used for own templates. See delivered templates for more information.

  • %xpublish-entries-end% End tag for entries
  • %xpublish-day% Day value of entry
  • %xpublish-month% Month value of entry
  • %xpublish-monthname% Month name of entry
  • %xpublish-year% Year value of entry
  • %xpublish-hour% Hour value of entry
  • %xpublish-minute% Minute value of entry
  • %xpublish-second% Second value of entry
